I guess this is a part of me now.
Something I'll have to grow around.
Inosculation envelopes me and all of my worst traits.
Which inflate in my altered states, until the two halves become whole.
I'm not my mistakes, I'll define me by how I respond to them.
I will try to take this in my stride and I will be better for it.
When pain grows around you, you can grow around it too.
Building my own private hell.
Fixating on how you felt, and what you've been through.
But what good does that do?
I've got to change how I act too.
If I want to help you, I've got to forgive myself too.
Because I swear I'm trying to change,
I'm making progress every day.
Dedicating this state to you.
Because I'm never going to forget,
But If I spend my time crippled by regrets, how will I improve?
I'm not my mistakes, I'll define me by how I respond to them.
I will try to take this in my stride and I will be better for it.
When pain grows around you, you can grow around it too.
If the context allows to, I'll take onus and review.
